Rain

It's been raining all day at school and I absolutely love it. So after it died down and the lighting was how I like it and the weather was beautimous...I walked around campus and took some shots of a particularly pretty leaf.

Day Nine

The hall way to my dorm room.

Day Eight

My friend and I painted this with our fingers for my dorm my first year at ACU. It is an abstract representation of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Day Seven

I slacked off on my posting...

Day Six

I am finally caught up! It's been a challenge to take some pictures every day with my busy schedule but I'm enjoying it so far.
This is what our bathroom looks like on a regular school morning in the dorms...5 girls, 1 bathroom, 2 sinks, it gets messy. This actually looks very nice compared to how it gets because it is mostly just my stuff in the picture with some other girl's things mixed in. But you get the idea.

Day Five

My soul is filled with the promises of my Eternal God. I can not wait to spend Eternity in his presence. It is with Him that I will be "here forever."

Day Four

This category for September Photo a Day was not one that I was excited about. When I take pictures, I like to show the beauty in something. It was hard for me to do this because all I could think of was something sad. But I'm widening my horizons. My pictures should not all be the same.

Day Three

And so continues "September Photo a Day." I am constantly surrounded by instruments and music. I love it. But I actually had trouble deciding what kinds of "lines" I wanted to capture. I could have done lines of music, lines from a notebook, lines of words, different strings, people in a line during worship...but these are the "lines" I chose. I love playing with the focus of my camera and I thought this kind of shot was really neat. This isn't my guitar, but it is one that I see every day.

September Photo A Day

I am starting something just for fun this month to get used to taking pictures again. I am really bad at posting consistently every day so I will date when the picture was taken and state the category. I think I might just skip the first one since I started yesterday which was already September 2nd. But here is the photo for the day (yesterday)!

September 2: My name begins with...
This picture contains just a few things that I love: books, Jesus, Paris, candles, saving, mugs, and coffee. I chose to take this picture because I thought it would be more personal than a pretty bowl of apples.

Turning Through the Years

I just have to say that I am incredibly blessed by this family God has chosen to place me in. This Saturday, my baby brother turned 12. I can hardly believe that he is growing up. It has been a privilege to be his big sister and I am proud of the boy he is and the young man he will become. Like all twelve-year-olds, he is crazy and doesn't think before he acts or speaks...but he has the sweetest heart. He is eager to learn and to fix his mistakes. That's why I love him so. If I were going to brag some more, I would say that he is an incredibly talented sportsman (he can play anything with a ball) but more specifically the best baseball pitcher his age. He has coordination like no other and will dance you off your feet. He can sing like a little angel and act out any part you throw at him. He has a servant's heart and the sweetest hugs and kisses. But I'm not going to brag...
Jeff and me, 2009.
I'm also not going to go on about how talented my sister Emma is at planning or how creative she is (she put together Jeff's birthday party this Saturday which was a HUGE hit). She also has a servant's heart and no matter how much Jeff complained about how the party had to be perfect, she never faltered and the party turned out to be, perfect. Lizzy and Dexter were also a huge help on Saturday and I was just amazed by them all.
Slip n' slide!
Finding gummy worms in Jello.
Jeff's friend, Zach.
I hadn't taken pictures in weeks so these are definitely not my best, but I had so much fun watching and participating in the celebration of Jeff turning another year older. Taking pictures Saturday has definitely motivated me to get back on the horse and whip my shooting into shape.
Lizzy being referee.
My family is such an inspiration to me and I am beyond grateful for them.
Happy Birthday Little Bub!
